Dance Class Schedule
This is the weekly timetable in use since April 2026. Open classes run Monday to Thursday in contemporary dance, ballet, Nihon Buyo (Japanese traditional dance) and children’s ballet.
There is no membership and no joining fee: you can book a single class whenever it suits you.
Classes are of two kinds.
T - Technique Class: for learning how to move the body.
R - Research Class: for exploring the possibilities of expression.

The timetable as a single sheet
Fees (tax included)
Single class: ¥2,500
4-class ticket (valid 1 month): ¥9,600
10-class ticket (valid 3 months): ¥23,000
Omoto Children’s Ballet is charged monthly. Please see the children’s ballet page for its fees and age groups.
Booking
Advance reservation is required for every open class, and some classes fill up. Please book through the class reservation form.
The studio is the same room as our theater, at 158 Yarai-cho, Shinjuku-ku - about a minute and a half from exit 1b of Kagurazaka station. See map and access.
Before you come
The timetable is subject to change. Substitute teachers and cancelled classes are announced on the class news blog (in Japanese). If anything is unclear, write to us at mail@session-house.net and we will answer in English.
