Gallery “Garden,” located on the second floor of Session House, is a flexible art and performance space in Kagurazaka, Tokyo.

The gallery is about a 1.5-minute walk from Exit 1b of Kagurazaka Station on the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line.
Akagi Shrine, cafés, restaurants, and the streets of Kagurazaka are also nearby.

For the run of the 35th Anniversary Festival, the 2F Gallery is thrown open as a cafe and lounge. It is the festival's resting place - somewhere to drop into before or after a performance, full of the promise of a new discovery or a new encounter. Everything here is free to attend.

Talk 1 - the power a town has to bring things into being
New forms of theater that Kagurazaka opens up

Starting from the practice of immersive theater staged in the streets of Kagurazaka, the talk considers the expression that arises when a town and a theater resonate with each other, and the culture this neighbourhood might grow in the future.
With Keiko Hioki (日置圭子, Ikimachi Inc.), Masao Miki (美木マサオ, Mukei Chokoku), Hiroyuki Kumagai and Miyuki Shinoda (熊谷洋幸・篠田美幸, Long Run Planning) and Naoko Ito (Session House).
Talk 2 - the power a town has to connect
The dance and the traditional arts that Kagurazaka brought together

"Kagurazaka Machi-Butai, Oedo Meguri" turns the whole neighbourhood into a stage for the traditional performing arts. The talk introduces, in photographs, the collaboration that grew out of it with Mademoiselle Cinema, and traces the possibilities of expression born in Kagurazaka.

Senseishonals workshop - "Tada de Dance"

Raising, through dance, the everyday performing technique that teachers and nursery staff need in front of a room of people. Apply through the Session House reservation form.
Himawari-gumi Showtime - "That's right, I am a Showa woman"

Fighting women, gathered because the film "Sunflower" moved them deeply. They love the practice of dance above all, and go forward each day on that physical sense.

A group exhibition by thirty-two artists working in printmaking, painting, illustration and mixed media, gathered around the single Japanese word "ari". The word carries several meanings at once - an ant, "there is", and "that will do" - and each artist answers it in their own way.

Regular at the Gallery
The gallery also hosts two long-running series. Croquis - life-drawing sessions with dancers as models - is held through the year, and the Ichie Watanabe talk series has been running here since 2001.
