Editor's Afterword

“The flow of the passing river is unceasing, yet its water is never the same.” These are the famous opening words of Kamo no Chomei's “Hojoki.” In today's world, there are wars and many natural disasters; things keep moving while remaining unresolved, never returning to their original course, in a state of “the new capital not yet established.” I hope that the various ways artists' feelings waver in such a world can reach your hearts and be shared.
